MildredLovesYou.com is Turning Three!

On June 16th, 2008, I posted the first of our Mildred Loves Pin-Ups (originally The Monday Pin-Up) series. I consider that to have been the birth of MildredLovesYou.com; with the site-under-construction months online before that being the pregnancy of course. ;)

So (as I mentioned here this past Wednesday), on June 16th, 2011 MildredLovesYou.com will be turning three! - although we have in the meantime decided to call it an anniversary rather than a birthday... ;) And we will be starting the party on the eve of this occasion by throwing a wild burlesque bash at Pinky's Peepshow here at the Bassy in Berlin on Wednesday the 15th!

Here are the flyers once again:

And here are some photos and links that will give you a closer look at our illustrious line-up of performers!

*Unfortunately the www.mildredlovesyou.com domain still remains offline to date, but the new alternative address is taking up the slack until things return to normal (and beyond too - for safety's sake). I am desperately hoping that this can be straightened out at last very, very soon - especially with our 3rd Anniversary just right around the corner!!!

FaceBook Prudery + An Upcoming 3rd Anniversary Party

Yesterday morning, when I went to view the current goings-on at FaceBook via our Mildred Mahler profile there, I was greeted with this bit of unpleasantness:

I see... Well... Candy-Box Rosie is actually wearing pasties and panties in this pin-up (yes, they are in pink, I know - but still), so I don't think it strictly literally violates any FaceBook prudery policies.

But I'm not the rebellious sort who enjoys going out of my way to prove a point. And I have neither the stomach nor the time for further aggravations or any ridiculous battles at the moment. So I have simply removed this image from my "Pin-Ups and Other Goodies" album at Face Book and locked that album down so that it is no longer completely publicly viewable.

Fine for me, really. It means that there will be a surprise or two for anyone who actually takes the extra effort to look at these pin-ups at our website rather than at Mildred's FaceBook profile. ...And - by the way - who out there was enough of an uptight busy-body to complain in the first place?!?...

While we're on the subject of Social Network Prudery, I might as well mention that a couple of years ago, when I was in the process of uploading our pin-ups to Mildred's now woefully neglected MySpace page, the police-bots there refused the above pin-up, and this one:

The other pin-ups were accepted without a fuss. I guess Candy-Box Rosie and Coco Delish are just too openly voluptuous in these two pin-ups. ;)

And now on to more pleasant news...

Our apparently shocking MildredLovesYou.com website will be celebrating its 3-Year Anniversary on June 16th. To kick this event off in style, we will be throwing a wild bash in conjunction with Pinky's Peepshow here in Berlin on June 15th (which is a Wednesday). Here are the flyers for said event:

I will be posting about this again soon, with links to the various artists' pages and such. And I hope I will be forgiven for adding a little reminder about this as a p.s. at the end of every single other blog-entry I post between now and then too. :P ;)

The flyer doesn't indicate this at all, but April 30th will be our CAVE WOMAN SESSION! Ooga ooga! And DJ U.F.O. Hawaii (aka Künstler Treu) will be spinning the tunes. ...Mildred and I will be saying a bit more about this very soon. ;)

And now for the promised site news:

In more pleasant news, Mildred and I will be updating again at last tomorrow with a nice Easter Greeting...

...And I know I promised a cooperative drawing with a good buddy as a new Extra Goody soonish in my last blog post, but time didn't allow. So it'll have to wait until after the Easter-Greeting Extra Goody. ;)

The LaLaVox Doodle Diary (updated more or less daily)

Doodle Diary / Pictoplasma / Site News

For my birthday last year, I gave myself a 2nd blog. This 2nd blog was meant to get me doodling again (publicly that is), but it lay unused (except for the birthday post itself) until the end of this just newly past March. I am happy to report that I've finally gotten it going again at last, and that I've posted a weeks' worth of new Creature Doodles over at The LaLaVox Doodle Diary in the meantime:

With Intent to Doodle....
Doodling Again: Day 2
Doodling Again: Day 3
Doodling Again: Day 4
Doodling Again: Day 5
Doodling Again: Day 6
Doodling Again: Day 7

And since the Pictoplasma Festival starts today, and since my Doodles have a connection to Pictoplasma from way back (some of my Creature Doodles were featured at the old version of the website and in the first Pictoplasma book, published in 2001) I've also left a nice post called Pictoplasma-Induced Trance States over there as well. ;)

But now to some actual "Mildred Loves You" news...

My mildredlovesyou.com domain remains offline to date. The entire content of the site is now (and will continue to be) located at the new address, but I am planning to get my mildredlovesyou.com domain going again too at some point. I just need to organize a new domain host. To do that, however, I'll need to write a number of emails that I haven't managed to get to yet. I'll keep you posted.

In more pleasant news, I currently have a new Extra Goody in the works (a cooperative drawing with a good buddy), and hope to get that finished up and posted by next Monday.

I also plan to finally begin continuing the Mildred Loves Pin-Ups series again at last - starting soonish! These Pin-Ups always mean many, many hours of work though, so wish me luck!!!

But I would like to get 4 new Guest-Star pin-ups finished before MildredLovesYou.com's 3rd birthday party on June 15th+16th... We'll see how it goes. Help me out by keeping your fingers crossed!!! ;) :P :* =D
